This 10-day trip takes you to India’s so-called Golden Triangle (Delhi-Agra-Jaipur), with a rich backdrop of fascinating culture, monumental architecture and historical splendor. You will also enjoy a memorable journey into Indian Himalayas with spectacular view of the snow covered peaks of Dhauladhar ranges and Kangra Valley. You’ll explore some of the most compelling highlights of northern India, together with its colorful people and journey towards Himalayas, where our carefully planned itinerary balances fabulous trekking and sublime views across the Himalayas with visits to local villages and fascinating Laka Glacier, finally ending up at the historic city of Amritsar.

Day 01: Arrive Delhi and transfer to the hotel; Half day sightseeing of Delhi
Arrive at the International Airport of Delhi and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.
Afternoon, we proceed for the half-day sightseeing tour of Delhi covering Jama Masjid, is the largest mosque of Old Delhi and it was built between 1644 – 1658 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan who built the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. Then visit Rajghat which is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi located on the bank of Yamuna River. It is located in Old Delhi opposite to the Red Fort and next to Chandni Chowk. Afterwards we drive pass through Colonial buildings such as the President’s House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931 and India Gate is a war memorial, also known as ‘All India War Memorial’. India Gate is 42m high located at the Centre of New Delhi across Rajpath. Evening drive back to Hotel for relax.

Day 02: Drive to Jaipur (B)
After breakfast, drive towards Jaipur (Distance: 250km approx.)
Jaipur is popularly known as the Pink City and is the colorful capital of Rajasthan with its rich cultural heritage and colorful past. It is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. Jaipur was established in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II the ruler of Amber and it is also known as ‘The City of Victory’. Reach Jaipur late in the afternoon and check-in to the hotel. Evening free to relax at the hotel OR to explore the colorful bazaars (market) of Jaipur.

Day 03: Full day sightseeing of Jaipur (B)
After breakfast, we drive to the ancient capital of Amber, 11 km away from Jaipur. Famous for its massive Amber Fort, Amber was the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries and it is one of the most famous forts of Rajasthan. It is an old fort, built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh and also very popularly known as the Amer Palace. We take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience.
Later, we proceed to visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We also visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone. It was specially built as a high screen wall so that the women of royal household could observe the street festivities while nobody can see them from outside. Later, explore the bazars with Rickshaw ride in the city.

Day 4: Drive to Agra en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri (B)
After breakfast, drive towards Agra, en-route we visit Fatehpur Sikri. It was formally the capital of the Mughal Empire; this wonderfully preserved ‘ghost town’ was constructed by Emperor Akbar and it reflects his ideals in art, religion and architecture. The mosque is designed to hold ten thousand worshippers. But this magnificence only lasted 14 years, as in 1585 Akbar left Fatehpur Sikri due to lack of water, leaving this city much as we see it today. Reach Agra late in the afternoon and check-in to the hotel. Evening free to relax at the hotel OR for independent activities.

Day 5: Morning Sightseeing of Agra and later drive to Delhi to catch the Overnight train to Pathankot (B)
Early morning during sunrise, visit the beautiful white marble Taj Mahal (remains closed on every Friday). Taj Mahal is a symbol of eternal love which stands on the banks of River Yamuna; it was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in 1631. The Taj Mahal is serenely beautiful and never fails to amaze a first time visitor. Return to hotel for breakfast and time free to relax. Later also visit the imposing Red Fort of Akbar, third of the Mughal Emperors, whose mighty red sandstone walls enclose the beautiful white marble Pearl Mosque and the palaces, halls, courtyards and fountains of his sons and successors, Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Late afternoon free and evening catch train to Pathankot.
Day 6: Arrive Pathankot, drive to McLeodganj, later sightseeing of Dharamsala (B)
Arrive Pathankot railway station and drive towards Mc. Leodganj (Dharamsala) (Distance: 90km). Dharamsala (2000m) is also known as Little Lhasa and home to his holiness Dalai Lama. Arrive and transfer to hotel for check-in for freshen up. Later visit Dalai Lama Temple in afternoon. Further visit Tibetan cultural center after that walk around the market and explore the surroundings. In the evening return back to hotel

Day 7: Trekking. Bhagsu Nag – Triund (2875 M) 9 kms ( B, L, D)
After breakfast at Hotel, start walking from Bhagsu Nag. It is steep ascent for 4 hours through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees to Triund. Packed lunch enroute. Triund is an alpine meadow situated on top of a ridge from where we have superb view of the peaks of Dhauladhar mountain on one side and Kangra valley on the other. Dinner with bonfire in the evening.
Day 8: Triund – Laka Glacier (3200 M) -Triund 8 kms ( B, L, D)
After breakfast at Triund, walk further upto Laka got. The trail traverses along the glacial moraine to reach an open meadow at laka got, a temporary shepherd encampment. Laka got is situated at the snout of asmall glacier called Laka glacier which is full of snow from March to June and the snow start to melt awaywith the monsoon and during post monsoon there is now snow. Spend some time at Laka Glacier. Packed Lunch at Laka Got. Later walk back to Triund for overnight stay in tents.
Day 9: Triund – Bhagsu Nag 4 hours walk and later drive to Amritsar (B)
After breakfast at camp you walk down. There is a possibility of taking a different route on the way back which is steep downhill via Laheta village. Reach Bhagsu Nag for lunch. End of the Trek. Later drive towards Amritsar. Reach Amritsar late in the evening and check-in to the hotel. If time Permits, evening attend the prayer ceremony at the Golden Temple, the spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh community.

Day 10: Departure transfer to Amritsar airport for flight back home (B)
After breakfast, visit the Golden Temple and bazaars. Later transfer to Amritsar airport to board the flight for back home.
