Jordan, an Arab nation on the east bank of the Jordan River, is defined by ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts. It’s a home to the famed archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean capital dating to around 300 B.C.E. Set in a narrow valley with tombs, temples and monuments carved into the surrounding pink sandstone cliffs.

Wadi Mujib, known from the Hebrew Bible as River Arnon, is a river in Jordan which enters the Dead Sea at 410 metres below sea level.

Aqaba is a Jordanian port city on the Red Sea’s Gulf of Aqaba. Inhabited since 4000 B.C., it’s home to the Islamic-era Aqaba Fort and the adjacent Aqaba Archaeological Museum. Its beach resorts are popular for windsurfing and other water sports, and the area is a top destination for scuba divers, with notable dive sites including the Yamanieh coral reef in the Aqaba Marine Park, south of the city.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival Amman- Wadi Mujib - Petra ( L,D)

Arrival at 8am then transfer to Wadi mujib(travel time  45minutes).

Wadi Mujib, known from the Hebrew Bible as River Arnon, is a river in Jordan which enters the Dead Sea at 410 metres below sea level.

10am start hike in wadi finish at 1pm

Lunch in dead sea from 1:30pm -3pm traditional Jordanian dishes.

3pm transfer to Petra (2 hours 30 minutes)

Arrival 5:30pm in Petra check in hotel

7:30pm-10pm  petra by night tour

Dinner and over night in hotel -Mariott or similar

Day 02: Petra- Aqaba (B, L, D)

6:30am early breakfast.

7am visit Petra until 10:30am

Petra is a famous archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the “Rose City.” Perhaps its most famous structure is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as The Treasury.

Return to hotel and check out

11am to Aqaba. (Transfer time one hour 45 minutes)

Arrive Aqaba at 1pm- 2pm lunch

3pm transfer to South beach in Aqaba – for diving or snorkeling

Note: One shore dive or snorkeling included.
Option for all levels to learn how to dive with a certified Padi instructor.

Diving gears – tanks, mask, fins, and wetsuit are provided.

4:30pm return and rest by beach house Bernice.

6pm check in hotel and relax.

Dinner at 7pm.

Overnight in hotel-Double tree Hilton Aqaba or similar

Day 3: Aqaba- Wadi Hidan -Amman- Departure (B, L)

Early breakfast 6:30am

7am depart to Wadi Haidan

10am arrival and begin hike.

Lunch box packed.

3pm finish transfer to down town Amman

5pm late lunch and downtown experience.

7pm drop off to airport.
