An explosive trip in the middle of the active volcanoes of South Italy. Starting our trip in Rome the Eternal City, that we will explore walking around the most famous monuments and living incredible experiences off the beaten tracks. After transferring to Minori in the heart of the picturesque Amalfi Coast, a region of steep cliffs and sheltered coves, with numerous small towns interspersed by terraced farmland where olive and lemon trees are grown. We will visit the island of Capri and the fascinating remains of the Roman town of Pompei and also enjoy an easy walk to the summit of Vesuvius (1280m). This is an active but easy walking holiday trip, with a real flavor of Italy. Children will love the traditional family culture of this region involving them in different local activities, with some easy hikes, time for enjoying beaches and the local Italian cuisine.

DAY 1: Arrival Rome (D)
Arrival in Rome and meeting with your guide. Private transfer to your hotel located in the hearth of the city. After the detailed briefing about your holiday, enjoy your first walk in the Capital to reach the Trastevere neighbourhood, a picturesque medieval area located on the west bank of the Tiber. Enjoy your first roman dinner tasting some of the local specialties like the fried artichokes or “pasta alla carbonara”!
Back to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2: Special visit of the Colosseum and a bike tour full of surprise along the Appia Ancient Road ( B, L, D)
What a special day in Rome! A deep immersion in some of the Italian highlights….art, history and cooking! Our group will live a double Roman experience with change to combine exploring the magnificent Colosseum with a private Cooking Class set in a historical palace. Hear ancient tales of emperors and gladiators and enjoy your very own homemade Italian meal! You will begin this memorable day with an expertly led tour of the Colosseum, the architectural masterpiece which once hosted Emperors, gladiators, spectators, and more. Next, we will head to a gorgeous 17th Century Palazzo for a private Cooking Class, where you can make either Pizza or Pasta, combined with either Gelato or Tiramisù. A great experience perfect for kids! After lunch, private transfer to the Regional Park of Appia Nuova where you will enjoy an easy bike tour along this Ancient Road full of surprise. Back to the hotel and relax before having dinner.
DAY 3: Treasure Hunt at the Vatican (B, L, D)
It’s impossible to leave Rome without a special visit of the Vatican and the Sistine chapel! For the family groups, we want to propose an excellent way to actively engage the children in the history and art of the Vatican Museums….an exciting Treasure Hunt! After skipping the entrance line, our guide will lead you through the museum with riddles and clues that will reveal hidden secrets in the various artistic masterpieces of the Vatican, with a prize for each child at the end of the tour. At the end of the tour, transfer to the heart of the city where you will have a lovely lunch near Campo dei Fiori square and a relaxing walk to admire Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona and other incredible masterpiece.

DAY 4: The Amalfi Coast ( B, L, D)
Fast train to reach the Naples. Private transfer to the Amalfi coast and on the way, stop to visit the worldwide famous archaeological site of Pompei, the sleeping city. Proceed to Minori, a lovely fisherman village located by the sea. Check in in our hotel, time to relax before having dinner.
Overnight stay in Minori.
DAY 5: Kayak, The paper museum and shopping time ( B, L)
In the morning, a 2 hour kayak excursion will allow us to enjoy the views over the coast from the sea. After
lunch, we head to the paper museum of Amalfi for a discovery of the ancient technique of the paper production. During the day, time for visiting Amalfi, shopping or for a swim in the sea. Dinner is not included and overnight stay in Minori.
DAY 6: Capri ( B, L, D)
In the morning we take a boat to the nearby Capri. We circumnavigate the whole island with a special lookout to the Faraglioni before to land in Marina Grande. From here we will discover the narrow streets, the Natural Arch, the flowered villas and enjoy of a fantastic panorama.
Back to Amalfi by boat, diner in a restaurant and overnight stay in Minori.
DAY 7: Hike the spectacular "Path of the Gods" to colourful Positano ( B, L, D)
The village of Bomerano is the starting point of our panoramic hike along the ‘Path of the Gods’. This aptly-named trail offers remarkable views across the Tyrrhenian Sea to the Isle of Capri. The path ends at the hamlet of Nocelle where we stop for lunch enjoying an incredible view on the bay. Bus to Positano, a lovely hillside village of colourful Moorish-style houses built above a pebble beach and small bay. We’ll stroll the streets past ceramic shops and fruit stands with locally grown lemons. Transfer back to Minori, dinner and overnight stay in Minori.
DAY 8: Vesuvio – Naples ( B, L)
In the morning private transfer to the Mount Vesuvius for a short climb to the top of the destructive volcano. Then private transfer to a typical wine producing farm on the slope of Mount Vesuvius. Visit of the farmhouse and lunch before reaching the vibrant city of Naples! Check in in our hotel*** located in the hearth of the city. Lovely walk with your guide before having your dinner.
DAY 9:Visit of Naples ( B, L, D)
In the morning, guided tour of this spectacular and energetic city. Our guide will take you on a fascinating itinerary including some of the city highlights such as Piazza Plebiscito, Via Chiaia, Santa Lucia, Piazza del Gesù, and colourful local market having a special lunch: we make our own authentic Neapolitan pizzas with a professional “pizzaiolo”! Some free time in the afternoon to relax and have a stroll around. Final dinner and overnight stay in Naples.
DAY 10: Departure ( B)
